Meet Johanna Cohoon, an undergraduate at the University of Virginia and this summer’s Corporate Sponsorship intern.
Best way to spend an evening in DC? I really like running across Key Bridge —good views and a nice breeze. Plus, it sounds impressive to say I ran all the way to Virginia (even if it’s only two miles away).
What was your reaction when you found out you were offered the NPR internship? I called my mom from outside the building my psych lab is in and was literally jumping up and down telling her about the job. The grad student I work with walked by and thought I’d gone crazy.
Favorite thing about interning at NPR? Totebags. Hands down.
What’s something that you always keep in your purse? I’m a crossword puzzle addict. I’ll either have one from a newspaper with me or just use an app on my phone.
What’s your ringtone? “Swept Away” by The Avett Brothers
Last good book you read? I’ve read a couple good ones recently, but I liked 1Q84 in particular.
Best thing you did this year? Accepted a water gun from a stranger.
Favorite meal? Potatoes with a side of potatoes.
Favorite TV show? My roommates last year would always come home and go, “Are you still watching that show?” Yes. I will watch ALL the episodes of The Wonder Years and then I’ll watch them again.
