For today’s “Meet the Interns,” we spoke to Daisy Alioto, an intern at the Social Media Desk and student at Bowdoin College. Without further ado, here’s Daisy in her own words: 

“Hi! I’m Daisy.You can find me curating NPR’s Tumblr, or at my own Tumblr and Twitter accounts. Here are a few of my favorite things:

Upper Left: Yes, I’m one of those people who still sleeps with her stuffed animal! This is ‘Baba’ —she’s in pretty good shape, considering that she’s been a pillow fixture for years.

Upper Right: I never expected to own a pair of red cowboy boots, but when I opened these on Christmas I warmed up to the idea right away. I break them out for special occasions.

Bottom Left: Can you tell I like shoes?! These are a pair of canvas H&M high-tops that I decorated with fabric marker. I tricked them out with some American Apparel ribbon laces. They’re a good conversation starter…

Bottom Right: Here’s a silhouette my best friend Christina made me, inspired by something she saw on Etsy. It makes me so happy, I can look at it all day!”
